Sobek2004 Black Stallion Rothbury Park Arabians Rothbury Park is the home of our beautiful Black Stallion ‘Sobek’. He is big, bold, beautiful and BLACK. Rothbury Park is situated in the picturesque Colo Valley about 90 minutes’ drive from Sydney. Rothbury Park is nestled in the mountains of our National Park which is full of beautiful Australian fawna and flora. Sobek is my childhood dream come true. When we bred Sobek’s dam, Hart’s on Fire (Simeon Sadik x Dynasty Jamin), back to her grand sire, the immortal Asfour, we never in our wildest dreams expected such an amazing result. Not only did we receive a most stunning colt with incredible movement, but the crowning glory of this fairytale stallion is that he is also black. Although we have been breeding Arabians since 1980, we never set out for breeding black. However Sobek’s mother seems to have the gene to produce it, having two other siblings that are black as well - Hart N Soul and Hart’s Desire. Sobek has recently been broken to saddle and shows his versatility and fantastic temperament, gliding effortlessly from the show ring to climbing the rugged mountains of the Colo Valley. Sobek’s magical movement and fairytale looks are what dreams are made of: a cliché I know, however, Sobek is truly "a magical black stallion". Sobek’s admirers include one of Australia’s most respected breeders, Mrs Marion Richmond, who kindly allowed us to create Sobek, and Adam King from King Estate International. “Sobek is a very beautiful black Arabian stallion with wonderful

Solar Reflection is what you would call a well refined horse with very nice conformation, stamina, just put together nicely. CD Solar Eclipse's dam is an Ak Khazar daughter and her dam is an Ansata Halim Shah daughter. She has one of the nicest hip structures I've seen on a mare. She also has an exotic face. So CD Solar Eclipse is all this in one. He is extremely athletic, has lots of stamina and he also has his dam's nice hip structure. So therefore he will not be a "halter" shown stallion. When he is broken to ride he will be competing in reining. A sport that I just love, I do think he will make a great reiner. He will also put some looks into it too! But that also leads me to say " I'm not saying that you can breed him to your halter mare and not be able to show in that. His grand sire AK Khazar was a champion in both halter and dressage.
